Radbourn's immortal season August 19, 1884: Old Hoss wins 7th straight

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Back on the job after a few days’ rest, Old Hoss Radbourn pours it on, beating the Detroit Wolverines, 4-2, for his seventh straight victory.
He lets up five hits while striking out ten, and allowing no earned runs.
The Boston Beaneaters (today’s Braves) beat the Chicago White Stockings (today’s Cubs), 4-3, to remain 4 ½ games behind the National League-leading Providence Grays.
